Payment Policy

Summary: We accept Visa and Mastercard in GBP. Payments go through a PCI DSS–compliant gateway over TLS. We do not store full card numbers or CVV. Refunds are returned to the original payment method.

1) Accepted methods

We currently accept Visa and Mastercard (credit/debit). Other payment options are not supported at this time.

2) Currency & pricing

All prices are shown in GBP and may include VAT where applicable. If your card is billed in another currency, your issuer may apply its own exchange rate and fees.

3) Authorisation & capture

At checkout our gateway may place a temporary authorisation on your card. We capture funds when your order is confirmed for dispatch. For split shipments we may capture proportionally.

4) Security

Payments are processed by a PCI DSS–compliant processor via encrypted (TLS) connections. We do not store full card numbers or CVV on gadgetora.co.uk. Your bank may require Strong Customer Authentication (e.g., 3-D Secure).

5) Billing details & checks

Please provide accurate billing name, address and contact details. We may use Address Verification (AVS) and similar checks to prevent fraud and may request additional verification if needed.

6) Shipping charges

Shipping is calculated at checkout. Standard rates: £9.99 flat worldwide; free delivery for orders of £50+ (after discounts). See Shipping Policy.

7) Promotions, coupons & gift cards

  • Unless stated otherwise, one coupon per order; coupons have no cash value and are non-transferable.
  • If an order discounted by a coupon is partially returned, any refund may be reduced proportionally to reflect the discount used.

8) Cancellations, refunds & chargebacks

To cancel before dispatch, email info@gadgetora.co.uk. After dispatch, follow our Return & Refund Policy.

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receipt and inspection (your bank may take 1–2 billing cycles to post funds).
  • If you suspect an unauthorised transaction, please contact us first — opening a chargeback without prior contact may delay resolution.

9) Payment failures & holds

If payment fails or is reversed, we may place the order on hold or cancel it. For back-orders/pre-orders (if offered), we may retain an authorisation and capture when stock is ready; otherwise the authorisation will be released.

10) Age & capacity

You must be 18+ and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to purchase from gadgetora.co.uk.

11) Data protection

We process billing information according to our Privacy Policy. We keep only minimal payment metadata (e.g., transaction ID, last 4 digits, expiry month/year).
